One year of creative abandon!
1.21.2009 |
Monday was a landmark day, marking my one year anniversary as a designer at Papaya Creative Abandon.
We just finished the spring 2009 catalog. I took this photo near the end of production, for the giclee page. My boss Gina, has the most beautiful cat named bonzo. I've dubbed him the new official papaya mascot (until of course puppy Gigi makes her debut). I swear he's part human, I've seen him open house doors by jumping up and smacking the handle repeatedly with his paw. Hello---- Mr. Amazing cat.
Here are some of the latest and greatetst things from Papaya, that I'm proud to have had my hands in... (all of this will be available on the website in a few weeks, so this is a sneak peek!)
I designed all new packaging for Anahata Katkin's envelope sets.
Here's a peek at my recent re-design of my Celebration Lantern card sets. They now have new greetings, fresh new color palettes, and a keepsake box.
My co-worker Brennan is my technical guru in the office who helps bring my packaging ideas to life by designing tedious perfectly measured photo shop templates (he's so clever, he really needs to be cloned).
Our new post card tins were inspired by Anahata's collection of vintage tins. I designed these using her artwork, and also re-worked her images to create the postcard backs.
More goodies in the making to share soon... I'm so excited to see everything hit the store shelves this year.
