In the heart of Downtown Los Angeles
7.24.2008 |
Our next stop after Atlanta was Los Angeles, for the California gift show. I met Anahata there, who had just returned home from her Caribbean adventure.
One of our first bits of business was to hit the L.A. Flower district to make arrangements for the show.
It didn't take much meandering around the booths before we found some amazing bouquets, at absolute steals. How do they price them so low?!
We stayed in the heart of downtown Los Angeles where we were working for the show, but found some amazing hidden gems in the city to spend our free time.
Poolside at the hotel Figueroa, was our evening bliss out. They played the same worldly flavored beats night after night, it seeped under my skin like a second home.

One more peek at the booth in Atlanta, since some of you asked in the comments to see more...
Eli, Brennan (the aforementioned "glitter pimps") and I felt so surprised, and honored to receive this award for Papaya's booth display.

Hello from Atlanta
7.11.2008 |
I'm writing tonight from Atlanta, Georgia... it's been a whirlwind here at the home & gift market. I had been working hard the previous week designing the layout of the PaPaYa! booth back home in Southern Oregon, it was an amazing process to see it all come together exactly as I'd dreamed it would. The PaPaYa! boys a.k.a. the glitter pimps ( no one leaves home from work without a few tell tale pieces of glitter on them from all of our sparkly treasures hence the nickname) worked hard this week hanging all of the products on the walls. I got to come in and fine tune with the final feminine touches, like flower arrangements and faux wrapped gifts in our line of fine wrapping papers. I love it when a plan comes together!
Here's a look at our booth, more to come soon...
