I love it when people use architectural salvage pieces creatively in the garden.
Here are a few clever things I've spotted locally in the past week. A small greenhouse made with reycled windows, my old fashioned pink David Austin roses (just because they are amazing all on their own), an old door made into a clever garden display, and tall painted blue ladders used as shelves.
A little less extroardinary, even a bit shabby... but all in all something that's making me feel completely content & even a bit blissed out lately is the recent conversion of our little garden shed into a tiny painting studio! I've got a little stereo in there, all of my paints, a nice breeze, dogs sleeping at my feet, a view of my garden... it's even equipped with tiny halogen lights that hang from the top rafter and hardwood floors. I'm dubbing it "Kathleen's playhouse", because that's exactly what it feels like.
Best Hel Looks post yet: I adore 14 year old Helmi's "color day" outfit...
We should all declare our own "color day", now that would really shake things up a bit!

I'm putting together a flickr album of the various cd's from the swap as they arrive, the packaging is so fun to look at... you can take a closer peek here.
Here's another beautiful design that Ulla created for the swap. She's a true muse, be sure to check out the rest of her blog too, it's always inspiring!

Just a little teaser for those of you involved in the cd swap! Today they'll be off in the mail, headed to their different destinations.
We ended up swapping in little groups, sometimes the group swap numbers got a bit wonky... lots of last minute decisions made the organizing a bit tough and groups sometimes uneven, but I hope you all are having fun with it! If you're in this swap, don't forget the mail by date is May 15. If you read about the swap a bit too late and couldn't join in, I'll still have a special surprise for you in the same vein, next week.... right here!
You can also already sneak at peak at the mix Yvonne made too, she was really clever with her packaging and even added a miniature bonus cd. I'm hoping I'll have other links to share soon too.
I'm going to upload some photos I took in our garden yesterday into my flickr account later today, everything's in bloom... it's at it's peak, and so mood-lifting!
