I think these two correspondence sets I put together last night may have been slightly influenced by a behind the scenes look at Tim Burton's "Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory" that was playing in the background while I made them. Johnny Depp's high pitched Wonka voice and the Tim Burton-esque song choices were a little freaky, but the visuals themselves were pretty delightful. The colors and shapes of the sound stage were so wonderfully brilliant and over saturated.
The other night I watched "the girl in the cafe" (on HBO's in-demand service). It was a fascinating nervously charged romance that revolved around the G8 summit. I had heard a lot of good buzz about it, and was so hyped that it was written by the same people who were the masterminds behind "Love Actually" & "Four Weddings & A Funeral". Now that's a winning start! If you have the chance, I highly recommend it...I haven't been able to stop thinking about this film for days now.
I also have to take a few moments to share these goodies that arrived in my mailbox last week.
1. A sweet surprise from Leslie, with two of her newly designed notecards (soon to be sold at The Paper Princess, this August). The one with the lanterns was inspired by something I had sent her recently...so I was really tickled! In fact they are so fabulous, I was ready to buy more this morning before I realized her shop wasn't ready yet!
2. A mini collage print of Hope's piece "Flying High" (that I am mad in love with), purchased from her online shop Paper Scissors Soul.
3. Super cutie "Mary Janes" cards (Illustrated by Giao), that I purchased last week from the Walrus & the Carpenter. They are so darling, I adore the bright colors!

New projects are brewing...will post again sooner than usual!
